4 Week CrossFit Open Prep Course Announced!

CrossFit 406 2018 Open Prep Course


With the CrossFit Open less than two months away, Coach Brooks and Coach James want to give every athlete the opportunity to maximize their potential by offering the 2018 Open Prep Course to help facilitate a directed learning experience with some of the more challenging movements that will appear in the Open.  This course is designed to be extremely hands on and will focus on providing various skill progressions based on each individual athlete as well as video feedback each athlete can take home and study to become more aware and understanding of the cues given by the coaches.  These sessions will create confidence in each athlete going into the Open by removing the fear of the unknown, meaning that each athlete will have spent dedicated time working towards improving these skills prior to the workout announcements.  As our coaches always say, it is best to practice skills and progressions while not under the pressure of a running clock.  This is the perfect opportunity to get in the practice before putting your skills to the test!

Class breakdown:

5-10 minute skill specific warm-up

40 minute skill work

8-12 min conditioning focusing on skill practiced that day

Schedule (all classes at 6:30pm):

Monday, Jan 22 – ring muscle-up (and progressions)

Wednesday, Jan 24 – snatch

Monday, Jan 29 – bar muscle-up (and progressions)

Wednesday, Jan 31 – clean + jerk

Monday, Feb 5 – toes to bar

Wednesday, Feb 7 – handstand push-up

Monday, Feb 12 – pull-up

Wednesday, Feb 14 – double under / rowing technique


$100 for all 8 sessions
